uncapped an exploration of process - 2022

This project is an introspective exploration into my creative process using gathering as a vehicle to do so. The quotation below, from Mindy Seu’s writing on gathering, was pivotal in realising this project is about exploring the self in art and releasing perfectionism - where the process is the destination.

‘Gathering, for Le Guin, is not a masculine, techno-utopian process of disruption or of moving fast and breaking things, but the methodical, deep labor that comes from “looking around, rather than looking ahead,” from gathering rather than hunting.’

The journey of this project exists in three stages: the thesis, the antithesis, and the synthesis.
